Anti-Inflammatory Protein Smoothie

Inflammation is the root of many ailments today.  Seemingly caused our increasingly toxic environment, inflammation damages the body at the cellular level and makes it difficult to fight off disease.  I am one of the thousands of people suffering from an inflammatory disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and I am always looking for ways to fight it off naturally through food.

Some of my favorite foods to fight inflammation are blueberries, turmeric, aloe vera juice and leafy greens like spinach and kale. This Anti-Inflammatory Protein Smoothie is the perfect blend of these super foods and heart healthy plant protein to help your body fight off inflammation naturally.

Anti-Inflammatory Protein Smoothie

Serving Size: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 oz aloe vera juice
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 big handfuls spinach
  • 1 tsp tumeric
  • 1 scoop plant protein

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and combine until smooth.
